Ismail al jazari<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first person who actually invented a programmable humanoid robot was al jazari in 1206. <\/span>According to wikipedia<\/a>, Ismail al jazari was an Arab Muslim scholar, inventor, and mechanical engineer during the islamic\u00a0 golden age (Middle Ages). He was a polymath. He was born on 26 friday 1136CE\u00a0 in\u00a0 <\/a>Upper Mesopotamia<\/a> tu<\/span>rkey. He lived in mardin<\/a>. Al jazari was not only called the <\/span>” Father of robotics”<\/strong> he also documented 50 mechanical inventions and was called the <\/span>” Father of modern engineering”.\u00a0 <\/strong>He served as the cheif engineer at the<\/span> Artuku Palace<\/a>, like his father before him. <\/span>Despite his work traversing the ages, almost noting is know about his personal life. <\/span>He is best known for writing the <\/span>\u00a0\u201cBook of Knowledge of ingenious<\/strong>\u00a0Mechanical Devices\u201d<\/strong> in 1206, where he described fifty mechanical devices along with instructions on how to construct them. The inventions he mention in his book inculdes the connecting rod, programable automaton, humanoid robot, valve, camshaft, <\/span>crank mechanism, <\/span>reciprocating piston engine, <\/span>suction pipe, <\/span>suction pump, <\/span>suction pump,<\/span> combination lock, <\/span>cam,\u00a0 <\/span>segmental gear, <\/span>\u00a0the first mechanical clocks driven by water and weights, and especially the crankshaft, which is considered the most important mechanical invention in history after the wheel. Ismail al jazari was famous in engineering and craftman who was a master in automata and mechanical inventions. <\/span>\u00a0Not bad for a guy who lived 800 years ago!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
